We are pleased to announce that on Saturday evening, September 3, 2011, the new lighting of the Silesian Planetarium in Chorzów, along with the nearby monument of Nicolaus Copernicus, was officially inaugurated.
The atmospheric illumination was designed and executed using modern HELIOS LED City light sources (high-quality light-emitting diodes). The Planetarium's facade and the monument of Poland's greatest astronomer were illuminated, each in its own original way. The ceremony coincided with the conclusion of the LIV Astronomical Olympiad, and we extend our heartfelt congratulations to its winners and participants!
We are delighted that modern "Helios" light sources illuminate one of the symbols of Silesia and all of Poland. We invite you to evening shows at the Planetarium, shining with a new glow.
