The replacement of old mercury luminaires with LED luminaires is an irreversible trend, as EU guidelines and regulations have banned the use of products containing mercury compounds and those with low or insufficient efficiency. However, we encounter situations where replacing existing lighting luminaires, especially those still in good technical condition, with modern but significantly more expensive integrated LED luminaires is not always economically justified. Of course, we cannot always adopt such an approach, as standards for lighting streets, expressways, or public facilities require investment in modern lighting systems.
On the other hand, new trends in ecology emphasize extending the lifespan of functional devices to serve users longer, thereby avoiding the generation of more waste. This compels us to analyze the problem more deeply and consider whether spending large financial resources on expensive lighting systems is always a better solution. There are intermediate solutions that, in a way, provide users with improved lighting conditions while saving financial resources. An example of this is the new HELIOS Intense Plus LED lamps. The new HELIOS LED lamps are a successful alternative to old mercury or incandescent-mercury lamps and at the same time perfectly fit into ecological trends by extending the lifespan of existing, functional lighting luminaires. The new high-power Intense Plus LED lamps can be directly used in existing lighting luminaires operating at 230V.
Intense Plus LED lamps are characterized by increased luminous efficacy of 136 lm/W and dimensions that fit into existing luminaires for their seamless application. A wide range of available lamp wattages: 30W, 45W, 75W, and 90W, as well as the availability of light colors: warm, neutral, and cool, allows for free selection and adaptation to specific requirements and conditions in the illuminated facility or area. The 30W and 45W lamps come with an additional E40 base adapter in the package, so we can easily use them where there are E27 or E40 threaded sockets.
